Nearly everyone who has been around fatbikes for awhile has heard about the Arrowhead 135 winter endurance race. The Arrowhead 135 is one of the most respected, established and challenging fatbike race adventures around. It’s a self-supported 135 mile ultra-endurance adventure race in Northern Minnesota in the middle of winter, and it starts Monday.
If you’ve been following Ride Fatbikes for some time, you’ve likely seen some of the Arrowhead 135 training and pre-race reports we’ve featured from Jill Hueckman. Her three pre-race reports can be found linked below. In the meantime, let’s all wish her luck as her race begins on Monday! Feel free to leave a comment below, or you can track her progress and cheer her on from your computer. You can track her progress here: http://trackleaders.com/
If you’re interested in what someone is thinking just days before starting the Arrowhead 135, check out her post on her website here: http://allthingsepicwithjill.blogspot.com/2013/01/sub-two-days.html.
If you’d like to read her 3 guest reports on Ride Fatbikes, detailing some of her training and preparations, you can see them here:

Good luck, Jill, from all of your friends in the RideFatbikes.com community! To everyone starting the race this year – we wish you good luck, good weather, and hope you find the finish line on your terms and in your goal time.

Thanks for all your good wishes and support! It has been a pleasure to share my thoughts, prep and experience with the readers. Even though it did not go how I would have liked, the experience of rolling fat tires on MN snow (sometimes at sub 2mph), the people I met and the lessons learned I will stay with me forever.
Look for me again in 2014!
